Herne Bay High School is a hugely successful school that serves the Herne Bay coastal area of North Kent. We have a comprehensive intake and are significantly oversubscribed in all year groups and in February 2018 Ofsted rated us good with aspects of outstanding.  Whilst academic rigour and examination success is at the forefront of our development, we passionately believe that a broad, balanced approach to education is important and as such we place tremendous emphasis on the Creative and Performing Arts and Sport as a cornerstone of a young person’s educational journey.

Science is central to the school’s commitment to ensuring high quality learning across the curriculum.  We have excellent Science facilities including eight specialist fully equipped labs, a large break out space and a dedicated computer area. Science is taught right through to year 13 with a significant take up in our very successful 6th form.

Applications are encouraged from teachers who embrace this approach and can contribute to the development of subject specific teams within the science team.

The successful applicant will be joining a highly supportive and collaborative department.  We welcome applications from NQTs or from more experienced teachers who are looking to further develop their career.
