Valley Park School (Maidstone, Kent) is both a very highly respected and over-subscribed school and we are able to offer an exciting opportunity for you to join us as Musician in Residence from November 2021 (start date dependent on terms of notice). Valley Park School has been designated Good by Ofsted and so the right candidate will help to drive the school towards its vision of academic and pastoral excellence.

This is a role for a committed and motivated professional who would like to work in a school that provides a wealth of opportunities for both its students and staff. We have a strong ethos at Valley Park School and we are looking for a visionary team-worker who would fit into our established workforce.  This post is suitable for an outstanding and experienced pianist and keyboard player who is comfortable playing in a range of styles.  The successful candidate will also have excellent music production skills, using Logic Pro X.

Salary and hours to be discussed at interview.  This is advertised as a full-time position, however part-time can be agreed for the right candidate.

Information about the school

Valley Park School is a thriving community in the heart of Maidstone, comprising approximately 1600 students across years 7 to 13.

We have a specialism in the Creative and Performing Arts. Ofsted in their visit in March 2020, noted that students “conduct themselves with maturity” and “work hard in their lessons, always trying their best.” We are seeking a passionate teacher to join us on the next stage of our journey.
