Information about the school

St Lawrence College is a leading co-educational HMC school educating 650 pupils from the ages of 3 to 18. Located in Ramsgate within easy walking distance of the sea, the College is set in a spacious campus housing day and boarding pupils from both local and international families. The College was founded in 1879 with the purpose of combining a careful religious training with a sound, liberal education. Today the College remains true to its founders’ vision maintaining a strong Christian ethos and supportive familial community, whilst having evolved to meet the demanding needs of a changing world.

St Lawrence College is known for ensuring pupils attain their best academically whilst also being prepared to be self-aware citizens in a global society. The College is Kent's only High Performance Learning World Class School, one of only 14 schools globally to achieve this coveted accolade. The College’s excellent facilities inspire a culture of creative learning, whilst the St Lawrence heritage and traditions provide a rich and tangible ethos for the whole community. The College community has at its heart a thriving international boarding department and is big enough to provide a wide range of opportunities, and small enough to offer bespoke care and learning for a diverse range of pupils.
