Based at Goldwyn School, Parkfield Road, Folkestone, Kent CT19 5BY

We are seeking to appoint a General Teacher.  This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with a range of skills, subject knowledge, drive and passion to make a difference to students who are likely to have experienced little previous success within a school environment.

The right candidate will have experience of working with students whose primary needs are SEMH and Autism and be able to work positively within our maths department to ensure that the delivery of mathematics and numeracy skills across the school is purposeful and appropriate to the needs of our students.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious candidate to work within our teaching team based at our Parkfield Road site in Folkestone and help to aid our students on their road to recovery from the current national crisis.

We are an outstanding school and always looking to develop our practice; as such, we are ever keen to employ candidates who have a range of professional experiences and can offer, not only quality teaching, but something ‘different’.

We welcome qualified teachers at any stage of their career, from mainstream or special education as well as newly qualified teachers.

Visits to our school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Sarah Miller, Head of Centre: sarah.miller@goldwyn.kent.sch.uk

 Closing Date:  10 November 2021 (12.00pm)

Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received. Goldwyn School reserves the right to interview at any point during the recruitment process and early applications are encouraged.

Goldwyn School is committed to the highest standards in safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of every student and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

References may be taken up before interview and the successful applicant will undertake an enhanced DBS check.
