Kent Range 3 (£18425 per annum - £12641 pro rata)
30 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in the teaching and welfare of students to enable them to progress towards their individual targets. Experience or the desire to gain knowledge/experience of ASD would be desirable.

A patient, tolerant, sympathetic, yet firm manner is essential. Good literacy, numeracy and organisational skills are important. The successful candidate must also be in sympathy with the Catholic Ethos and Mission of the school.

Information about the school

Located on the southern fringes of the historic city of Canterbury, St Anselm's is a happy and successful wide ability school, catering for those who wish to receive a Catholic education. The school has a large catchment area extending from Ashford to Herne Bay and from Wingham to Faversham. It is regularly over-subscribed. The Sixth Form, numbering 150 students, offers a wide range of Advanced level and vocational courses. In September 2004 the school became a specialist school for Science, though retaining its Catholic ethos.
