We require a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our committed and talented staff team. This position is to support a Year 5 child with ADHD and ASD

This role is for 16 hours per week, term time only, paid on Kent Range 3, This role is fixed term until July 2022 initially. 

Experience of working within any of the following areas would be an advantage:

·       Working alongside the class teacher to prepare resources and lessons that are best suited to the child's level of ability 

·       Working alongside parents and agencies to determine a holistic approach to a child’s personalised curriculum

·       Knowledge of support in ADHD

Experience of the following is essential:

Use of social stories

Sensory input to aid attention and focus

Use of visual aids to support transitions

Social use of language

We are looking for someone who has the following qualities:

·       Effective communicator

Information about the school

We are a very popular and oversubscribed large primary school in the heart of the Kings Hill community with 450 pupils and 65 children on roll in our Nursery. We are very well resourced with a well qualified and dedicated team of teaching and support staff.

Our building is modern and is a unique linear design with extensive and beautiful grounds. We have a large extended school hall which can be divided into two by acoustic doors, the smaller of which providing an area for sports activities. Our grounds incorporate a pond dipping area, poly tunnel, woodland walk and more recently we have had a Multi Use Games Area built and an all weather running track.
