Cliffe Woods Primary School are looking to appoint a proactive, dedicated and skilled Premises Officer to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and highly committed and ensure that every member of our learning community is able to thrive in a setting whereby heath and safety is of the upmost importance. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Take pride in ensuring the school looks as best as it can possibly be
  • Ensure health and safety is a priority at all times, liaising closely with the Business Manager and Head of School
  • Organised and methodical 
  • Be computer literate, sending and receiving emails with confidence to all stakeholders
  • Be able to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Be a pro-active member of the team, have a "can do" attitude and able to use their initiative  
  • Manage the school building and oversignt of the grounds maintenance ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are adhered to 
  • Have good basic DIY skills (plumbing, decorating and carpentry) 
  • Be responsible for site security and have key holder responsibility including any out of hours call outs
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism when interacting with the children, staff, parents and members of the wider community.

The following skills and knowledge would be desirable: Training is provided if required.

  • Health & Safety at work
  • Manual Handling
  • Working at Heights
  • First Aid

This post is full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  The role has split shifts which are negotiable  but hours must start at 7am and finish at 6pm.
