Salary: KR6 £20,997 pro rata (Actual Salary £18,060)

Hours: 37 per Week - Term Time Only (39 weeks)

The Abbey School invites applications for the post of Behavioural Support Officer to work as part of the school’s Behaviour and Welfare Team. Minimum requirements are GCSE English and Maths C Grade or equivalent.

You will have experience of talking with and working with teenagers in the 11-16 age range.  You will be somebody who will command their respect, and promote the behaviour policies within the school. You should have excellent listening, communication, organisational and literacy skills, and have the ability to communicate with students, parents and staff at all levels.

You must be able to work under your own initiative with a precise and methodical approach. The ability to work well within a team is essential, along with the ability to seek guidance from senior staff where necessary and to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

The Abbey School is a mixed secondary school with a thriving population of over 1200 students. We believe that school should be a place where young people can discover and develop their own talents.
