This is an exciting opportunity to work within a progressive Design and Technology department in a good school within the Maidstone area. We are a successful department working in a modern, well equipped environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised food technician who should be able to enjoy working around pupils and contribute to the day to day organisation of the Design and Technology Department.

 

This a part time position for 20 hours per week working Monday – Friday 09:30am – 13:30pm, hours can be negotiated.

 

We are seeking a flexible and organised individual to provide practical and administrative support for the teaching of Food Technology. The job will entail preparing ingredients and resources for lessons, keeping the food class room and equipment in a hygienic and serviceable condition, assist with ordering stock and ingredients and supporting teachers in food practical lessons.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Completed their Level 2 Food Hygiene and Catering qualification or willing to undertake the qualification.
  • Knowledge of cooking equipment (including handling foods safely).
  • Be flexible, resilient and work well in a team environment.
