West Borough Primary School is looking to appoint a highly effective teaching assistant to join our Year 3 team. This is a temporary position, initially until July 2022.

  • Are you an excellent practitioner with experience of working with pupils in lower Key Stage 2?
  • Do you have high expectations of learning and behaviour?
  • Can you inspire and motivate pupils?
  • Do you have initiative and work well as part of a team?

Working hours are 8.30am-3.30pm, term-time only plus training days.

Information about the school

We are very proud of our wonderful school which was judged as good with outstanding features. Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in October 2022.

We have 16 classes including our maintained Nursery. A set of Core Values underpin all that we do which ensure high expectations of both learning and behaviour. They are 'Equality, Responsibility, Respect, Resilience and Challenge.' Our inclusive school is based on a large, well resourced site just outside Maidstone town centre. Our excellent facilities include a library, extensive outdoor learning areas and an ASD Satellite.

Our school has a happy and caring ethos and is is full of well motivated children, supported by a hardworking and fully committed team of staff and governors.
