Information about the school

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is a one form entry primary school situated in Deal described as, ‘Britain’s most beautiful seaside town’ and the winner of the Daily Telegraph’s High Street of the Year award.

As part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership we are lucky to be able to access high quality professional development and being part of a family of schools enables us opportunities to learn, grow and develop together.

We serve the parishes of St John the Evangelist and St Thomas of Canterbury and are looking for a teacher who is sympathetic to our Catholic values and ethos and who demonstrates commitment and passion to ensure our young people strive to be the best they can be. In addition, the skills and ability to work as part of a team to secure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Our good denominational inspection in October 2022 recognised that 'St Mary’s is a family community where pupils are valued and the parents are happy.' One parent commented “their emphasis on family has been embedded so seamlessly into their days at school”

Our  good Ofsted inspection of November 2022 noted St Mary’s is an inclusive school with a strong family feel. It is a welcoming, supportive and caring place to be. One parent summed up the views of many by saying: ‘St. Mary's is an inclusive, welcoming family. My children have thrived at the school in terms of academic, emotional and spiritual learning.’

With a new build due in July 2024, why not visit and become part of our team.
