Are you someone who is able to volunteer your time during school hours? Do you enjoy working with primary-aged students? Holy Family Catholic Primary School are looking for enthusiastic, supportive adults who may be able to help our pupils and enhance their learning and cultural experiences throughout the academic year.

Volunteer roles within school may include a weekly reading slot which boosts confidence in emerging readers, supporting projects, helping out on local walks and visits and more.

In the past our volunteers have been from a range of backgrounds and with many different life experiences.  You may be a parent of a current pupil in school, you may be a grandparent.  We have also supported those looking for experience prior to starting their own career journey into childcare, or teaching.

Safeguarding of our pupils is of paramount importance. All volunteers in school will be required to have a satisfactory DBS check for safeguarding reasons prior to starting in school but we can pay and support your application for this.

If you can spare an hour a week or even more we look forward to hearing from you!

Information about the school

‘Love Jesus, Love Learning, Love Each Other’

At Holy Family, we recognise that every pupil – and every member of our community – is unique and precious to God. With a Catholic ethos at our very core, we aim to create an ambitious, supportive and nurturing atmosphere where all can flourish.

At the heart of our local community, we value the partnerships we have developed with parents, carers and the local parish, knowing that we are all educators together.

Our dedicated team work extremely hard to ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to reach their full potential. We know that pupils learn what they live, and as such, bespoke to our learners, we offer a wide range of curriculum experiences and a stimulating learning environment so that all can develop a love and enthusiasm for learning.

Holy Family benefits hugely by being part of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership (KCSP). We are a ‘GOOD’ school (Ofsted - Oct’ 2023).

Ultimately, we endeavour to develop the whole child in the eyes of God and prepare each one of our pupils academically, emotionally and socially to thrive and succeed, both now and in the future.
