The Governors are seeking to appoint two teaching assistants to commence work as soon as possible within The Preston and Wingham Primary Schools Federation. Both positions will be based at Wingham Primary School.

The first post is for 33 hours per week to be worked from 8.45 – 3.20 Monday – Friday. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with children within a mainstream classroom to effectively support their learning and pastoral needs. However, support will be provided to those new to this role. We hope that the postholder will also be able to provide absence cover at our breakfast and after school club on an ad hoc basis to cover staff absence.  

The other post is for 35 hours per week to be worked from 8.00 – 4.00 Monday – Friday to support a child entering our reception class on a 1-1 basis. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with social and emotional needs within a mainstream classroom to effectively support their learning, pastoral and behavioural needs.
