PART TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT

Our lively, friendly school is looking for a proactive individual to join our dedicated team of education providers.  Cage Green is a school on a journey.  It’s an exciting time to work here, surrounded by enthusiastic, skilled professionals who are striving to make sure that all children achieve their very best.  Our children have great behaviour, a want to learn and a really fun spark that makes us laugh every day.

We are looking to recruit a teaching assistant initially to work with Key Stage 2. The role will include teaching targetted groups of children, supporting the class teacher with day to day learning and working proactively as part of a team to ensure that each child meets their potential. We are looking for high calibre people with excellent English and maths skills who will be able to lead children’s learning confidently.

Prior experience as a teaching assistant is desirable, but not essential for a person who is keen to learn with a positive attitude.

The successful applicant must:

  • Have good mathematics and English skills (Grade C or higher at GCSE or equivalent).
  • Have good behaviour management skills through previous experience with children in a setting other than their own home
  • Be able to communicate well with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Be willing to learn and develop skills to support children’s learning.
  • Be flexible and understand that plans change.
  • Be proactive in their approach to resources, plans and solving problems.
  • Have a commitment to the safeguarding of children.
  • Be punctual, conscientious and put children’s needs first.

Early applications are encouraged and Cage Green Primary School reserves the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is found.  Previous applicants need not apply.
