Salary:         NJC D2 Scale (Salary FTE £18,933 to £21,748 pro rata)

Contract:      Fixed term to 31st August 2022 with the prospect of a permanent role from September 2022

                    20 hours a week until January 2022 (Monday / Thursday / Friday)

                    34.25 hours a week from January 2022 (Monday to Friday)

                    Term time only plus Staff Development Days

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St. James' Church of England Primary Academy Early Years Setting.   This will be a fixed term position until August 2022 with the possibility of becoming a permanent position from September 2022.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Practitioner to join our flourishing team, working in an Integrated Early Years Setting with children aged two to five years.

As a key person, you will also be responsible for recording children observations and progress and building positive relationships with children and parents.  The candidate should have an NVQ2 in Childcare, or equivalent, experience of working with children aged two to five years and a commitment to improving the outcomes for all young children in the Foundation Stage.

The successful candidate will:

  • be knowledgeable and have the ability to teach very young children in our Early Years setting
  • be able to plan and deliver exciting learning experiences to spark children's curiosity and based on their interests and developmental needs
  • be passionate about giving our children the best start in their educational journey

A visit is highly recommended.
