Advert

An exciting opportunity has become available at St. Saviour's Church of England Junior School.  The post will be for 25 hours per week in term time only.  The post is temporary (until August 2022), based around Pupil Premium Funding, but there is a strong possibility that the position may become permanent.

We are looking for an excellent teaching assistant to support in class but also to cover lessons which have been prepared by a teacher.  Each time you cover a class, you will be paid an additional £8 per hour, over and above your usual hourly rate.  I estimate you will be asked to work around 6-8 hours as a cover supervisor per week.  These cover lessons will primarily be in afternoons.  In mornings, you would be supporting learning in class and/or leading small group work.

We are looking for someone with the confidence to cover classes in order to release the class teacher to teach intervention groups.

You will be working as part of a very skilled year group team.

Successful candidates will:

  • Be committed to working within a team to deliver the best possible outcomes for children
  • Have excellent communication and numeracy skills

We can offer you:

  • A supportive and sociable team of staff
  • Fabulous pupils
  • Excellent professional development

Applicants are welcome to view the school prior to application - please contact the School Bursar by email for further details: finance@st-saviours.kent.sch.uk

At least one interview panel member will be trained in safer recruitment and all offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
