A popular and thriving primary school requires a 1/1 Learning Support Assistant for 15 hours per week to support a child with an Autistic Spectrum Condition and global and speech delay in our nursery. This is a temporary position subject to funding, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience working with children who have social communication difficulties, emotional, behavioural and learning needs and knowlege of strategies. They will need to have high standards of work ethic in terms of motivation, personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards and team work. They must be able to follow instructions but also work by using their own initiative. Applicants should preferably hold an NVQ2/3 or equivalent teaching assistant qualification.

We are a large and successful primary school, which converted to a stand alone Academy in April 2012. We operate under Hampton Collaborative Trust allowing the freedom to grow and develop with our community needs at the forefront of all decisions.
We are an inclusive, caring and constantly improving school with an exceptionally strong collaborative staff team. Our current roll is 706 children with 3 classes per year group, set teaching in the juniors to facilitate smaller class provision, a purpose built on-site nursery and a strong Well-Being Team, FLO, Play Therapist and Emotional Well-Being practitioner to provide the support and nurture for our most vulnerable children.
Our current SEND is 15% and we are constantly signposted within the local authority for our excellent SEND provision. We are also incredibly excited to be in the process of developing an ASC ARP provision to further support and nurture our SEND children.
