Advert

We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant  in our popular and friendly school.  This is a temporary contract Oct 2021- Aug 2022 to support some of our SEN children.  You will initially be working with one of our younger classes, 8.45am-15.25pm, but may be deployed elsewhere depending on the school need.

You must have the skills needed to engage individuals and groups of children in effective learning; you should have an interest in developing children's social skills, showing sensitivity to their individual needs.  You should be a highly efficient, flexible and reliable person, able to forge positive relationships with children.  You will need to be energetic, supportive and a positive team player, with a sense of humour and excellent communication skills.  A willingness to support the Catholic ethos and to contribute to the wider life of the school is very important.

Previous successful experience as a teaching assistant would be an advantage.   You must be willing to contribute to the continued improvement of St.Teresa's school.  In return, we offer a happy and highly supportive staff team and tailored professional development.  We value our committed team, offering strong pastoral support to all.  In the most recent staff survey, staff said they enjoy working here and feel well supported.  OFSTED have consistently judged St Teresa's to be a good school (Jan 2020).  We have beautiful grounds, which we continue to develop, as we continue our journey to foster outdoor learning.  Join our team in dreaming and creating a nurturing family for our children.
