Assistant Facilities Manager

Salary: Site Team Scale 4, Points 18-22, £24,982- £27,041

39 hours per week

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Facilities Manager to assist in the day to day management of facilities across the Trust’s sites.  The role will include security, caretaking, and the maintenance of premises. 

The successful candidate will work with a professional, can do and proactive approach having had supervisory or management experience. They will be someone who takes pride in providing an environment which is safe, healthy, clean, and secure for our pupils, staff and visitors. They will also be highly effective and thrive in a varied role where no day is the same.

Previous school experience is desirable, as is Health and Safety and Building compliance knowledge.

Relevant trade experience such as carpentry or building is a key advantage.

Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2000 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools and nurseries serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside. Home Farm Nursery is based in the grounds of Homewood School.

Homewood has excellent facilities for all its students and our specialisms in Performing Arts, Applied Learning and the Rural Dimension underpin our approaches to learning which are designed to raise achievement across the whole student body.
