Kent Range 6: £20,997 - £22,918 per annum, pro-rata

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative colleague to join our team of committed professionals. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding administration and financial support to the school by ensuring that the Main Office Team is effective and efficient and a high level of administrative efficiency is delivered. The successful candidate will be able to manage the financial and administration duties of the Main Office,  ensure that well-presented and accurate correspondence, reports and other documentation in line with house style are produced, ensure that both internal and external documents/databases are produced to the highest standard and manage the workload of the Main Office Team, delegating as required.  Please see the attached job description for further information as well as a person specification.

You will be the public face of the school for parents and visitors, be able to manage the school's financial and administrative software, to put a plaster on a child's grazed knee, help a worried parent, arrange a school trip, send out a letter, book a supply teacher - often all at the same time.

In short, you will be an important part of the team that ensures the school continues to operate smoothly! Ideally you will have a background in school or education office management - but could just as well have transferable skills from the charity or business sectors. 

Experience of line management would be an advantage along with the ability to manage the various roles and responsibilities within the Main Office to ensure all areas have been allocated within the team.  

The postholder is required to work for 38 weeks per year, term time only plus 10 days. The postholder will receive a payment in respect of their pro rata entitlement to Annual Leave appropriate to their grade, Bank Holidays and the KCC concessionary day which is included in the salary above.
