Teacher of Design Technology

Start date: September 2021
Salary: UNQ MPS, UPS
Contract type: Permanent
Hours per week: Full time, 32.5 hours per week
. We also consider applicants who are interested in part time hours
Weeks per year: Term time only, plus 5 staff training days

Do you actively contribute to student’s inspiration and creativity through the use of materials? We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Design Technology who will help our students become resourceful and innovative.

The role and what we are looking for:
Can you guide our young design enthusiasts through the practical and theoretical elements of our curriculum? In one of our most popular subjects her at Oasis Academy, Isle of Sheppey we’re preparing our students for the job titles that don’t even exist yet. We are looking for someone who is fully on-board with the academy vision and ready to take on ownership of establishing and maintaining great practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Technology Teacher looking to grow their career in a CPD rich environment.

We are a large secondary academy and sixth form based across two specialist campuses on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. Our unparalleled range of facilities allows us to teach a dynamic, academic and vocational range of subjects to suit the passions and aspirations of our young people. Our academy is improving day-by-day as we grow and are welcoming one of our largest year 7 and sixth form cohorts this September. We leave no child behind at OA Sheppey and foster strong links with community services to support the island to flourish beyond the school.
