Key Stage 2 Teacher required for September 2021

12 month Fixed Term Contract (pending permanent appointment).

A wonderful opportunity to join our amazing team and teach a KS2 class has presented itself. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated teacher to work with our brilliant children.

Our school is at the heart of the beautiful village of Lyminge and we are well supported by the local community. We would welcome applications from ECTs and experienced teachers alike.

The ideal candidate should:

  • be a caring teacher who has the needs of each pupil at the heart of all they do
  • be keen to learn and develop their teaching
  • have energy and the determination to make a difference
  • have good communication skills
  • be an effective classroom teacher who is passionate about teaching
  • have high expectations
  • be a good role model
  • have commitment to raising standards and achievement
  • understand that every child is unique and be able to reflect this in their practice
  • be a team player, willing to share ideas with their colleagues
  • be supportive of our inclusive Christian Ethos
  • ideally have experience of teaching in Key Stage 2 (this can be as part of a school placement for trainee teachers)
  • have a creative approach to teaching and understand the importance of engaging children through their own interests.

Lyminge Church of England Primary School is a vibrant school, at the heart of its community, and with close links with our church. Our 200 children are happy, enthusiastic and keen to learn and take part in everything.
