GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE OFFICER

37 hours per week (43 weeks per year plus 5 staff development days)

Kent Range 7: £23,033 - £26,075 pa pro rata (actual £21,843 – £25,059 pa)

We have a new and exciting role of Governance and Compliance Officer which is a dual role to act as Clerk to the Governing Body and also support the Data Protection Officer and HR Manager.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a full clerking service to the Governing body including advising on procedural and legislative matters.  Experience of working in a similar clerking role is highly desirable, although training can be offered for the right candidate.  Commitment to undertaking the National Training Programme for Clerks to Governing Bodies is essential (if not obtained already).  Due to the nature of this role a degree of flexibility will be required to attend after school/evening meetings.

You will also provide support on compliance related matters across the school for which training can be offered and will act as Educational Visits Coordinator.

As this is a dual role you will need excellent administrative and organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.  The ability to be versatile and resourceful, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team and thrive in a busy, sometimes unpredictable, school environment is also required.

We are a happy team, proud of our school and relentless in our efforts to give students, staff and parents the very best.  If you feel you can bring something extra to our organisation then we want to hear from you!

Further information and an application form are available from our website: www.highworth.kent.sch.uk        Please note we do not accept CVs.

Completed applications should be emailed to: HR@highworth.kent.sch.uk

Closing Date:  Monday 28th June 2021 at 8am

Interviews will be held w/c 5th or 12th July 2021.

Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received.  Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and Highworth Grammar School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
