Warren Wood Primary Academy, is part of the Skills for Life Trust.  Our aim is to provide a stable, nurturing environment in which children are happy, stimulated and keen to learn. As part of the Skills for Life Trust, our ‘Skills for Life’ strategy is an integral part of the school, equipping children with the vital skills they need for secondary school and adult life. We believe that every child can reach their potential and our caring and dedicated staff will allow them to achieve this.

In 2019, Ofsted graded the school as 'Good' in all areas. We are a two form entry mainstream school with a nursery and Evergreen Centre, a specialist provision for children with speech and language needs.  The Evergreen Centre is included within the main Warren Wood School building and has the same Headteacher and Governing Body as the main school.  From September 2021, the Evergreen Centre will offer 40 places across the primary age range with opportunities for pupils in the centre to enjoy social interaction within a mainstream setting, as well as inclusion in elements of the national curriculum as appropriate. There are four purpose built classrooms, each with a teacher and teaching assistant, catering for children aged between 4 and 11.

We are seeking a temporary maternity cover teacher from 2021, term 1-term 5.  You will need to have experience of working with children of relevant age, be an excellent practitioner and team player, and have the ability to liaise with a range of agencies to support children’s learning and development and a passion to work in a SEN setting within a mainstream school.
