Job Title SIMS and Data Manager

Location Orchards Academy                             Salary/ salary range: Kent scale 8 £26,205-£29,885 (FTE)

Closing Date: Friday 25th June 2021               37 hours per week (41 weeks per year, 2 being in the summer holiday)

Interview Date: W/C 28th June 2021                                   Start Date: 1st September 2021

We are very excited to be recruiting a SIMS and Data Manager to join our staff body. We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of Data and its ability to raise the standard of education within Orchards Academy. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, the ability to reflect and a personal desire to improve and develop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking the lead role in the development, management and maintenance of SIMS. Using SIMS to ensure that data is effectively managed throughout the school and the exam process is carried out in line with exam board requirements.

Amongst other things this individual must have;

  • a strong understanding of the SIMS package
  • the ability to interrogate and analyse data
  • an understanding of the exams process within SIMS including entries and results
  • ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • a willingness to undertake professional development
