We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our talented and supportive team. This is a 5 day role and involves working 1:1 with Year 6 and is a temporary role linked to this child, therefore is a 1 year contract, initially. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, term time only, during the hours of 8:30am – 3:30pm.

This role would start in September and the full time salary for this role is currently paid at £18,039 (FTE) and therefore pro-rata, term time, the salary for working 5 days over 38 working weeks, plus paid holiday entitlement, would be £13,220.75, paid over 12 months.

The role will also involve working during the lunchtime period with an unpaid lunch-break of 30 minutes provided.

The successful candidate must hold the relevant teaching assistant qualification with GCSEs in English and Maths A - C or equivalent. Previous experience working with a child with learning difficulties would be beneficial, but not essential.

  • experience of working with children with communication and language needs;
  • experienced in following a care plan;
  • passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential;
  • experienced in delivering interventions;
  • able to contribute to, and work as part of a team;
  • excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude;
  • effective time management and an ability to work on own initiative.
