We are looking for a highly organised and dedicated individual to join our team. A working knowledge of the best practice and the ability to inspire and support both children and adults will be a key requirement. An active willingness to contribute to whole school improvement is vital. The post will require daily 1:1 and small group support with academic and pastoral needs.    The successful candidate will be the key person supporting two children with both learning and SEMH needs. The main responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the children 1:1 and as part of a small group to meet academic needs, ensuring targets and outcomes are met.
  • Liaison with parents and other professionals involved with the child e.g. STLS
  • Keeping progress and achievement records.

In order to be shortlisted for interview and subsequently appointed, applicants MUST demonstrate a secure understanding of these expectations, along with relevant experience, on the application form and at interview.

 

This post will be in Key Stage 1 and 2, and ia fixed term contract until July 2022.

All employees of the school are expected to contribute to the wider life of the school community and candidates should be mindful of this when applying for the position.

Candidates must have experience of working with children in Key Stage 1 and 2 and be able to offer expertise in specific recognised learning intervention programmes. A knowledge of the Read Write Inc would also be useful. An understanding of the demands of the National Curriculum is essential.

Shortlisted candidates will be expected to have visited the school prior to interview.

HOURS OF WORK - This is a fixed term post until July 2022 and will be for 23.5 hours per week.  The hours of work will be 8.30 – 14:00 4 days a week with ½ an hour unpaid lunch break and 8:30 – 12, 1 day a week, 5 days per week. TERM TIME ONLY PLUS TEACHER TRAINING DAYS

Pay - Kent Scheme 3 pro rata.
