OUR SCHOOL
The BCAT Trust consists of 3 schools: Barton Court Grammar School, an 11-18 years co-educational grammar school in the heart of Canterbury; The Charles Dickens School, an 11-16 years co-educational non-selective school in Broadstairs and opening in 2022 a Free School, Barton Manor School, an 11-18 years co-educational non-selective school co-sited with Barton Court Grammar School.
The Post
A dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher of Design Technology is required for September 2021. DT is a hugely popular subject in the School with 3 classes studying Cambridge National Engineering Design in every year group. You will be joining a very supportive department with an excellent team ethos. A Trust Director of DT is temporarily in situ to ensure you have all the knowledge needed to guide staff and students to outstanding GCSE results.
The successful candidate should be able to deliver excellence in the classroom, providing innovative and inspirational teaching and learning up to GCSE level. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to work as a middle leader. A TLR2 payment of £5,105 per annum is available for this Lead Teacher role.
