Do you have experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school, working with Key Stage 1 pupils? Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who can show initiative and enjoys working with children? We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with a well behaved and engaging child in Key Stage 1 to support their learning and health needs.

We are looking for the right person who will:

• Work in partnership with our Year 2 teaching team and the SENCO to support the child's needs
• Deliver high quality learning support to enable children to make steps of progress across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Be organised, flexible and willing to use your initiative in order to meet children’s needs
• Have a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour and high expectations of our children.

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of our school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet our children’s needs.

Candidates must have experience of supporting children in a primary school setting.

Candidates should have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs with a good pass including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above.  Experience of supporting children with medical needs would be beneficial although not essential as full training would be given.

The position will be temporary until 31.12.2021 in the first instance. The hours are 8.45am to 3.00pm, term time only.
