Meopham Community Academy is looking for a dedicated and dynamic leader to join their committed and supportive team as an Assistant Headteacher. This role, which is in additional to our current leadership team, would suit an enthusiastic and capable teacher, with leadership experience who is now keen to develop further.

This is an ideal opportunity for the right person to manage the staff and an area of development across the school, as well as opportunities to extend your experience by collaborating with other leaders within our Trust. You will have a key role in developing staff, be responsible for phase leadership in EYFS & KS1 or KS2 as well as a key area of whole school development. This role will enable you to stay in the classroom delivering great teaching and modelling good practice whilst developing your leadership skills with dedicated time.

The successful candidate will have an excellent record of leadership at middle or senior level in their career to date. They will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning and the qualities, knowledge and skills to lead and inspire staff to ensure excellent standards of teaching throughout the school.

Meopham Community Academy is a two form entry primary school set in a beautiful village location and the school prides itself on providing a happy, safe and caring environment for all its pupils. We are a busy, friendly and popular school with a warm and welcoming ethos; recognised by all who visit!

The staff, parents and governors of our school work together to provide the best for the families we serve. We want our children to enjoy their time and education with us and to achieve the highest possible standards in all aspects of their lives. We are very proud of our school and the high standards of behaviour and learning that our children achieve.

Our broad curriculum, wide range of extra-curricular activities and support for pupils were all recognised in the most recent, short Ofsted inspection in October 2018, where the school continued to be rated as "Good".
