Contract Type    Term Time plus 2 weeks to be worked flexibly by agreement during school holidays

Hours                    16 hours per week to be mutually agreed.  Some flexibility is also required. As Teach Kent & Sussex SCITT grows there is potential for this role to be developed further, or additional hours added.

Start date            26th April 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.

To work under the direction of the SCITT Administration Manager to provide administrative support to the Teach Kent & Sussex team.  The role involves administrative processes including arranging interviews and supporting recruitment activities and testing.  Supporting other administrative recruitment processes, onboarding, induction, absence and professional development through to leavers and graduation of the programme.  Maintenance of spreadsheets, databases, websites and personnel files in an accurate and timely manner is key for this role.

In addition, you would serve as a point of contact for the SCITT handling written and telephone enquiries from potential applicants, external agencies and other stakeholders, for example, liaising with speakers and external providers for professional development sessions. 

Photocopying, filing and Issuing communications to trainees, mentors, partner schools, etc. as directed will also be required.

You would be expected to support at least two evening recruitment events during the course of the academic year.

We are looking for someone to join our small friendly team who has excellent written and verbal communication skills who values attention to detail, accuracy and can work efficiently.  The capacity to work independently and as part of a team is key; identifying and building relationships to achieve the best outcomes for the Teach Kent & Sussex team.  A good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred and ideally Access.
