We are seeking to appoint a Head Teacher who is motivated and passionate about learning to lead our one-form entry school with nursery.  A proven record of strong leadership is essential to build upon the excellent work of the current head teacher. The successful candidate will work not only with the hardworking and committed staff of Vale View but also alongside the Executive Head Teacher and the other head teachers within the Whinless Down Academy Trust. 


The role requires a forward thinking and motivational leader who thrives on making a difference to children’s lives and loves the challenge of continual improvement through strategic planning and direction. It will be essential to maintain the excellent relationships already established with all stakeholders and to be able to manage a range of situations to a favourable outcome.

Information about the school

The Whinless Down Academy Trust aims to provide excellent opportunities for local children, in local schools, run by local people. It is a primary school only Trust, based in Dover, Kent, comprising of Vale View, Priory Fields and St Martins. Collaborative working is integral to our trust approach, and we continue to support and learn from each other.
