MJC Senior Duty Manager

Part-time: Initially 20 hours per week

(Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 3.30-8.30pm and Saturday 8.30am-1.30pm)

£27,000-£30,000 full time equivalent dependant on experience

(actual part time salary: £15,428.57-£17,142.86)

Applications are invited to apply for this exciting opportunity ideally suited for somebody with experience in theatre, arts and music.  The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic and committed to developing the policies and programmes of the Mick Jagger Centre to attract maximum level of use by the local and wider communities making the Centre financially viable.  This will include promoting the Dartford Music School and the Red Rooster Programmes.    

Dartford Music School is an established and successful music school within the Mick Jagger Centre at Dartford Grammar School which started in 2010 and provides tuition to over 350 students per week.

Dartford Grammar School is a selective academy for boys, admitting girls to its sixth form. There are six forms of entry in each year group and all of the students joining the school are from the top 25% of the ability range. The students come from Dartford, neighbouring towns and villages, and nearby London boroughs. The current roll is 1,546, including 630 in the sixth form.
