Advert

Bishop Chavasse Church of England Primary School, which opened in September 2017, is looking to appoint a full time teaching assistant to join our team of staff, during our fourth year of existence

If you are a teaching assistant who is able to inspire, ignite imagination and instil a love of learning, then this is the position for you.

We are looking for a colleague to join our dedicated team, building upon our successes and helping us to continue to shape the future of Bishop Chavasse Church of England School.  Your role will involve you working as part of a dynamic team, providing the best learning opportunities for our children as well as supporting our extended care provision.

The full time role is for a teaching assistant who will work for a maximum of 32.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. 8:30 - 3.30 p.m (with a half hour unpaid lunch break).

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated, firm and caring individual to support a child with SEMH.

The successful applicant should have experience of working with Key stage 1 or 2 students with emotional and behavioural difficulties and promoting positive outcomes.  Experience of specific learning needs e.g. SEMH or ASD is beneficial, as is the ability to recognise and implement key approaches to learning to support the child.

This position is attached to a child and will therefore be for the duration of the child's time at Bishop Chavasse, however further opportunities may be available after this time.

Our successful candidates will be highly motivated, and able to contribute to a strong, inclusive and cohesive ethos reflecting the school’s Christian character.

Our pupils are delightful and are proud ambassadors of their school.  They are inspired to embed the school’s values and develop personal character through additional wider curriculum activities and opportunities which motivate them, enable them to grow in confidence and cultivate thinking skills and creative potential beyond typical expectations.

For this reason, we are seeking committed, enthusiastic teaching assistant to join the amazing staff team who are dedicated to achieving our school's vision, whilst building on the excellent reputation we have already established within our community. This role is initially a temporary position, with the potential of becoming a permenant post.

To arrange an informal conversation about this post please contact Donna Weeks, Founding Headteacher, by email at headteacher@bishopchavasseschool.org.uk.
