Maplesden Noakes is an 11-18 co-educational non-selective school with approximately 1214 pupils on roll including 262 in the sixth form.  The school has an excellent reputation, is popular with parents and regularly over-subscribed.  Due to the expansion of the school we are seeking to appoint a full-time Teacher of Science from September 2021 (or earlier subject to availability).  The successful candidate will have the ability to teach up to and including GCSE.  A Level or BTEC teaching may also be available.  The position is open to NQTs as well as more experienced colleagues.

The science faculty is a high performing department with a strong team.  There are 5 full-time teachers and 4 part-time teachers in the department.  Students study Edexcel science at GCSE, BTEC Applied Science, OCR A level Biology and A level Chemistry in the sixth form.
