Information about the school

Hernhill is a vibrant and thriving Church of England Primary School, set in the beautiful Kent countryside. We pride ourselves on offering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted (March 2024) and have again been judged to be Outstanding in all areas, including overall effectiveness.

Our Christian vision is at the heart of all we do and it starts with the four most important words - all are welcome here. We want everyone to thrive throughout their time with us and we encourage our children to flourish as compassionate, confident individuals who care deeply about their community and the wider world. Jesus teaches all of us to ‘Treat others as you wish to be treated’ (Luke 6:31) and our special ‘People Rule’ is an outworking of this. This applies to all relationships in our school and underpins everything we do, all policies and procedures.

We have an outstanding staff team who work with enthusiasm and dedication to the support children's learning and the life of the school. We are proud of our collaborative working culture that champions wellbeing and innovation.

Hernhill is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
