Information about the school

Hernhill CE Primary School is a vibrant and thriving Church of England primary school set in the beautiful Kent countryside. Our school is a warm, welcoming and inclusive community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. We are proud to provide an environment where children are supported to achieve their full potential academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

At the heart of our school is our Christian vision, rooted in Jesus’ promise that all may experience “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10). This vision shapes the very heartbeat of our school community and underpins everything we do. We believe that education is about far more than academic success; it is about nurturing curiosity, resilience, joy and compassion so that every child can become the person they were created to be.

Play, creativity and wellbeing are also central to our approach. As an OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) school, we recognise the important role that high-quality play and outdoor learning have in supporting children’s development, imagination and wellbeing.

Hernhill benefits from an experienced staff team who work with enthusiasm, dedication and care to support children’s learning and the wider life of the school. We are proud of our collaborative culture, where innovation is encouraged, professional development is valued and staff wellbeing is taken seriously.

Hernhill CE Primary School is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
