Teacher of Mathematics

 We are recruiting a teacher of Mathematics and this role is perfect for a candidate looking for new exciting, opportunities and development or someone looking to secure their first Maths NQT position for September.

 This is a wonderful time to join the Mathematics department which is now moving into year 2 of it’s new overhauled curriculum. The Mathematics curriculum at The Malling School is based on three key concepts: ‘Manipulate, Master and Marvel’.

 You will improve your knowledge of curriculum development, articulating rationale, sequencing topics, assessment, retrieval practice, creating a progression model, and resourcing and continue to develop your pedagogy and subject knowledge and have an impact on the whole-school learning of Mathematics.

 The Mathematics department continues to enjoy it’s efficient marking, feedback and homework policies that maximize impact on pupil outcomes while respecting staff workload. Subject specific CPD and training is delivered within departments weekly with whole school teaching model training delivered in morning briefings. The Malling School Mathematics department has completed and continued projects with outstanding schools in Kent and London to inform and support our vision for an exceptional Mathematics curriculum.

  • Innovative in your approach to teaching, reflective and excited about developing your pedagogy
  • Able to achieve excellent examination results for children
