At Future Schools Trust, we are looking for an Unqualified Teacher of English to join the team at the Gateway initially on a fixed term contract for one year with the view to go permanent. The Gateway offers an alternative provision to our pupils.

 

The successful candidate will lead and support the learning of our pupils in English both at KS3 and KS4. KS4 pupils will study GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature. Experience planning and delivering high quality English lessons would be an advantage. The successful candidate will also support the Head of the Gateway with daily tasks to ensure the smooth running of the school day.

 

This rewarding role will suit someone with significant experience of working with young people who present challenging behaviours and knowledge of different teaching styles to engage pupils. You will have a working knowledge of school pastoral systems and be highly motivated with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team. You must be able to use your own initiative, be flexible and act as a positive role model to our pupils.
