The Galaxy Trust is a multi-academy Trust comprising three fantastic primary schools in Dartford (Oakfield, Temple Hill and West Hill) and we are currently recruiting for Governors at each school.  Each of our schools has its own unique character but all subscribe to the Trust’s values of Respect, Responsibility and Equality.  The Galaxy Trust provides:

The coronavirus outbreak brought out the best in every single member of our highly dedicated team of staff and our parents/carers who have high aspirations for their children. We are looking to appoint Governors to work collaboratively with our Senior Leaders to address the challenge of getting our children “back on track” with their learning.  You do not need any special qualifications, we just want you to bring a real passion for supporting every child to achieve and succeed.  We encourage applications from all members of society, regardless of background, culture, gender, ethnicity, disability, or age (as long as you are over 18) and we really do look forward to hearing from you.

Governors have four meetings per year, currently held in the evenings at 6.30 pm.  Please do allow additional time for reading the agenda and reports prior to each meeting.  Governors also carry out monitoring visits.

The Golden Thread Alliance is a Multi Academy Trust of nine primary schools in North West Kent, each with its own unique character, history and demographics, but unified in the belief that we are all as united as we are different.

Following the 2023 merger of Galaxy Trust in Dartford and Pathway Trust in Gravesham, The Golden Thread Alliance now comprises Culverstone Green Primary School, Fleetdown Primary Academy, Meopham Community Academy, Oakfield Primary Academy, Riverview Infants, Riverview Juniors, Temple Hill Primary Academy, West Hill Primary Academy, and Wrotham Road Primary School.
