St Nicholas School Canterbury are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and professional ICT Technician to join our SEN school. This exciting opportunity now exists for a first line support / helpdesk ICT technician to work closely alongside our experienced ICT Manager.

Any experience of working within a school environment will be of great advantage, but these are not essential requirements and the candidate should be able to work autonomously and communicate effectively with staff and suppliers.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • have experience of similar work including network management
  • have strong communication skills
  • are enthusiastic, reliable and responsible
  • work using their own initiative
  • work in an organised manner
  • Having a driving licence
  • adhere to school policies and guidelines

 

Duties include:

  • Maintaining the school network
  • Managing computer hardware and software within the school
  • Provide technical support to staff on & offsite as needed
  • Support the school's Microsoft Office 365 services
  • Managing users and permissions for IT usage

 

The role is for 37 hours per week - Term Time Only
