We are looking for a skilled teaching assistant with recent school experience to join our committed and supportive team. You will be supporting a Key Stage 2 class every morning and leading individual or small group interventions in the afternoon (3 - 5 afternoons per week, to be agreed). There may also be the opportunity to cover whole classes at HLTA rate for the right candidate. The hours are flexible, between 23 and 28, to be agreed.

We are looking for someone with strong literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE Maths and English), who is confident with using IT to support learning. You will have high expectations of pupils and an understanding of how to help children to develop as independent learners. The successful candidate will also have a high degree of emotional literacy and be able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and pupils.

We can offer support in the form of weekly training meetings, individual continual professional development opportunities and mentoring from our SENCO.

We cannot host visitors to the school at present, but you are welcome to call the school to speak to the headteacher regarding the role.
