Wanted! An energetic, enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team at Charing CE Primary School.

The position involves working in partnership with class teachers with an aim to achieve the best outcomes for our children, supporting individuals and groups of pupils. You need to understand how to motivate and encourage pupils to make progress and have the ability to differentiate and adapt learning programmes to suit varying needs.  A knowledge of the new National Curriculum is desirable.

The successful applicant will have a good standard of spoken English and will have achieved English and Maths GCSE qualifications to at least a 'C' grade. An NVQ Level 3 in Learning Support or Level 3 Teaching Assistant is desirable, or at least a willingness to undertake this qualification. The successful person will support our Christian values and ethos. 

This position is part time, 13 hours/week to be worked over 2 days (8.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. with 1/2 hour lunch break)  and will include lunch-time supervision.
