Cornwallis Academy are looking to appoint an outstanding Lab Technician to support our Science department on a permanent basis, term time only for 32.5 hours per week.

You will be joining a well-resourced department and will assist in maintaining the laborites within the school and support practical work in the classroom. The post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious individual. The person appointed would be supported by the Science department and a fantastic team of practitioners. 

As well as our state of the art facilities, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities.  Cornwallis Academy value positive working relationships and seek individuals who will support this ethos.  

The successful candidate will:

• Have laboratory experience or science technician experience and detailed knowledge of safe laboratory working practices (desirable)

• Be self-motivated and able to manage others

• Excellent organisational & interpersonal skills with an innovative, forward thinking  and determined commitment to support teaching & learning in science.

• Have a strong interest and understanding of science
