We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic teacher to teach Early Years pupils with complex learning needs.  We are looking for a dynamic individual who will fully embrace our school Values “Resilience, Teamwork, creativity and Flying High” and embed them in all that you do.  This is a very exciting opportunity for someone to join our team of already established, dynamic and professional practitioners so we need to find the right person. The successful candidate will:

  • To be an excellent practitioner with high expectations and a commitment to providing stimulating learning experiences for all children.
  • Have recent and relevant teaching experience
  • Have experience, understanding and an enthusiasm to meet the learning needs of pupils with profound and complex physical and medical needs in exciting, meaningful and effective ways.
  • A teacher who uses their imagination to enrich the children’s enjoyment of learning and is passionate about engaging the children in the world around them
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate and collaborate effectively with children, colleagues and parents.
  • Be able to lead a TA team in their class to ensure all learning is dynamic and personalised.
  • Have opportunites to develop their own skills and practice alongside other specialist teachers.

Aylesham Primary School is a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Kent countryside, six miles south of Canterbury, serving Aylesham and the surrounding villages.
