37 hours a week (5 days)

Term time only - 39 wks per year (including Staff Development Days)

Kent Range 9, Point 31 – Point 36 £29,446 to £33,510 pa

Pro rata £25,552.20 - £29,078.88 pa

1YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT – POTENTIAL TO BE EXTENDED (FUNDING DEPENDENT)

 

Do you want to join a thriving Kent school? Thamesview School are seeking to appoint a School Counsellor to support the smooth running of the pastoral system. This will include providing a high-quality counselling service to students experiencing a wide range of emotional problems, liaising with parents/carers to provide support, guidance and advice, and also providing support and advice to the School regarding the best options to support students.

 

We are committed to providing high quality learning experiences for our students and to supporting our staff through excellent CPD opportunities. 

 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • have experience of working with students in an educational setting
  • have good knowledge of Health Needs affecting young people
  • hold a counselling qualification
  • relate well to students
  • have good attendance and punctuality record
  • be able to liaise and communicate effectively with staff and students
  • be confident to work independently and multi task in a range of areas
  • have a cheerful disposition, show confidence and contribute ideas to work within a team
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics in grade A* to C.
