Teaching Assistant required from September 2020.

We are looking for an experienced and capable Teaching Assistant, who can take on the role of supporting a group of children with physical needs who will be in Year 1 in September.  The children need a level of intimate care (catheterisation and nappy changing) and feeding care (PEG feeding).  A willingness to take charge of all these care needs and also to support them in class with their learning is essential.  An understanding of the learning expectations of children in Year 1 is desirable.

The applicant should have English and Maths GCSEs or equivalent, as a minimum, and have good verbal and written skills.  Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is essential.

The person will be required to work Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 3.20pm term time only, in this role, with a 25 minute lunch break.

As part of the school's commitment to children's safeguarding and safer recruitment practices, the appointee will be subject to a full DBS check.

We can offer a supportive team of staff, and further training as necessary.  The school is committed to developing its staff.

This post will be for one year initially.

Please apply via this website, explaining how you meet the criteria above in the application. Contact with school prior to making an application is welcome.

The right person might be able to start immediately.
