The Island Learning Trust are looking to recruit a Family Liaison Officer to be based at Minster in Sheppey Primary School. The position is for 32.5hrs per week, 38 weeks of the year (term-time only). Pay grade is Kent Range 5

Are you passionate about fostering good relationships with parents/carers of children at school? Do you posess the ability to be an effective communicator across a wide range of people including children and their families, SLT and external professionals? Do you have a sound understanding of child growth and development?

These are just a few requirements we are looking for in our ideal candidate. Previous experience is an advantage, although this is not necessary as we are happy to invest in training for the right candidate. You will have the support of our SLT, highly experienced teaching staff and our Pastoral Team across the Trust.

The Island Learning Trust was established on 1st November 2016. The MAT was comprised of Minster Primary and Halfway Houses Primary, both schools are on the Isle of Sheppey, an area of high deprivation and socio economic challenges. These two founding schools are both Ofsted rated good schools. The outcomes at Minster Primary are outstanding. Sunny Bank Primary School in Sittingbourne joined TILT in February 2020 under a sponsorship arrangement and significant all round improvement has been made with the support of the MAT.
