We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant to join our Oaklands School Team.  This is a  role which will see the successful applicant supporting some of our children who require additional support and mentoring.  You will work closely with the EYFS  team to ensure that their eductaion and wellbeing both thrive with a particular responsibility for mathematical development.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and flexible Teaching Assistant to support our children, with the flexibility to work across the school. The successful candidate must have a good standard of English (written and spoken) and Maths to enable them to model and support our children appropriately, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Experience working with children is essential.

At Oaklands, TAs work across a phase with a specific focus.  This focus will be a responsibility on Mathematical development across Year R.

Oaklands School is a Good school with results which are at or above national averages. We are a two form entry primary school situated in Walderslade. We also have a Children and Family Hub and Wellbeing Centre on site and so support our community from antenatal all the way to Year 6.

The school is set in extensive grounds and is well resourced, including our own swimming pool offering swimming from Year R through to Year 6, a Forest School, our very own Farm, training kitchen, Art & Design Room, Radio Station, Running Track other superb opportunities for outside learning.
