We are a small school with a big heart in beautiful Biddenden located between Ashford and Tenterden.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented One-to-One Teaching Assistant to work throughout the school and be part of our friendly and supportive team. The successful applicant will need to have recent experience of working effectively within a school. This is a 36 hour a week post, term time only.

  • highly motivated, organised and flexible in the way you work to best meet children's needs?
  • an effective communicator, highly skilled in building positive relationships with children, parents and professionals?

We believe strongly in developing all members of our team through CPD and we work closely with schools within the Tenterden Rural Alliance. We also have excellent relationships with our parents and extra- curricular opportunities are important to our children. We can offer you a biscuit barrel that is full (most of the time!), support and children who are caring, friendly and learn well.

John Mayne Church of England Primary School is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted January 2018). The school is situated in the beautiful, historic village of Biddenden with easy access to the countryside. There are currently approximately 100 pupils arranged in 5 classes. We have a caring and talented staff team with well informed governors and parents who actively support the life and work of the school. Our children are friendly, well behaved and enthusiastic about their learning. The school offers a wide range of extra- curricular clubs and provides wrap around care at the heart of this village community.
