An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed SENCO to join the team at Northfleet Nursery School.

We are looking to appoint a NASENCO qualified practitioner with a strong working knowledge of all SEN needs. A passion for supporting children with a range of needs is essential. The candidate should be familiar with the requirements of the EYFS including accessing support via referral to relevant services and requesting and maintaining individual EHCPs. This role will require working to provide effective support to children pupils, staff, parents and liaison with outside agencies. There may be times when additional hours are required to attend meetings and these will be paid in addition to the above salary. The successful candidate must therefore be flexible in their working pattern to ensure that the needs of the school and its children can be met.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Be a qualified SENCo
  • Have a passion for children’s learning and development
  • Have a desire to achieve and raise standards
  • Be a committed team member
  • Deal effectively with a range of people and agencies
  • Deal with sensitive and confidential issues
